Graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University). In 1985 joined the diplomatic service.

Held various positions at the embassies in the Republic of Cameroon (1985-1986), the Republic of Niger (1986-1988), the Republic of Rwanda (1990-1994), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (2000-2005).

2011-2018 – Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union and Euratom, Belgium.

Has a diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

On 6 April 2018 appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia by the Presidential decree №147. 

Speaks English, French and Spanish.

Married. Has one son.
